The story of Chrysler/Jeep Center in Chisinau began in an unusual way. Normally a new car type enters the market, and the respective service center appears at the same time or, in many cases, at a subsequent stage with considerable delay in time. However, the scenario was different in the case of Chrysler/Jeep in Moldova.
The first to appear was a specialized Chrysler/Jeep car service center. Any car buyer first thinks of who, where and at what price is going to repair, maintain and service his car. The “authorized” service availability is a key prerequisite to successful promotion of a new car brand at the market. The establishment, development and operation of a service center at an adequate professional level required considerable financial investments. We have purchased specialized motorcar diagnostics equipment. Our educated choice was to acquire the equipment from its original manufacturers and to maintain a stable and sufficient stock of original spare parts within a certain range at our warehouses locally. High service fees are quite justified by service quality and the guarantee period covering the repairs. When the service center staff lowers the repaired car from the repair bridge, they are sure the car will not let down its driver.
On 18 December 1997 we obtained the status of the authorized Chrysler/Jeep dealers in Moldova . That was a new and very serious step in the development of our business. Participation in exhibitions and contacts with foreign partners gave us a new level of motivation and new quality standards. The existence of a well-established professional service center was considered as an obvious competitive advantage. It is not a secret that adequate guarantee and post-guarantee service is available only for certain new cars in Moldova . However, the availability of such service was the initial point for Chrysler/Jeep in Moldova ; we maintain premium quality level of service support to the motorcars sold by us. So the customer's questions, such as: ‘Can I buy an air filter at your outlet?' do not come as a surprise.
