The originality of Cricova wine is not determined only by a perfect technology and by a following of wine making traditions but by special conditions of wine keeping in underground labyrinths as well.

The Cricova labyrinths, which are protected by the UNESCO, have about 60 kilometers of underground tunnels. It may be kept there more than 30 million liters of wine at the same time. The constant level of temperature is 10-14C degrees and the humidity level is 97-98 per cent, create the optimum conditions for the wine keeping.

A true skill of Moldavian winemakers and perfect natural conditions favor a careful keeping of traditions in the process of high qualified wine making. That is why Cricova wines became very popular and subjugated the most refined tastes of wine judges both in Moldova and in the international market.
