“Imperial Vin Moldova” JS

“Imperial Vin Moldova” JS was founded in 1977 in the south of Moldova (Pleseni community, Cantemir region). Climatic conditions of the Tigheci Codri microregion allow growing the best European wine varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Riesling, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot etc.

Today, “Imperial Vin Moldova” JS represents a well-structured holding, joining a modernly equipped winery, several auxiliary productions, security structure, design studio, and trade offices in Saint-Petersburg and Moscow.

Holding invests its resources in agricultural development, plants its own vineyards. In 2003 it has planted 70 ha of vineyards and provided them with drip irrigation.

Future plants will come up to 100 ha per year, and according to the general planting plan total area of the company's vineyards will reach 1500 ha by year 2015.

Director general “Imperial Vin Moldova” JS, Mr. George Cozub, merited wine-maker of France and Moldova, the member of the scientific and technical council of the “Moldova-Vin” Department. He makes part of the testing commission, presides the commission conferring the scientific ranks in the National Institute of Viticulture and Winemaking. Mr. Cozub is a Corresponding Member of the Moldovan Academy of Sciences, and a twice laureate of the State Prize. He fathered 7 monographs, 150 publications, 50 inventions, and 35 wines.

On the factory, we perform the complete wine production cycle: purchase and process grapes, obtain hi-quality crude wines, and, finally, bottle the wine.

The enterprise is provided with the newest Italian, French and Bulgarian manufacturing equipment, which allow to process 15 thous. tons of grapes annually.

In 2003 a new ultra-new self-contained bottling department with the total area of 1700 sq. meters, including bottles and bottled wine storages, was put into operation. The wine is bottled on an Italian production line with the capacity of 6 thous. bottles per hour. The company was certified by the system ISO-9001.

The factory's laboratory equipped with the modern French and Japanese electronics permits to define the composition and quality of wine quickly and precisely. To complete the wine control system, laboratory extracts 4 to 6 bottles of wine from each consignment for a long-term storage.

All the factory's output (14 mln. bottles a year) is exported to Russia, Ukraine, Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, Baltic countries, Germany, and Poland. Effort of our winemakers was marked out on the international exhibitions and competitions with 20 golden, silver and bronze medals. Our brand “ Душа Монаха ” (Monk's Soul) was decorated with the grand-prix of the competition “Trade mark 2003” in the “Wines and Sprits” category.

All the most sophisticated technologies are collected at the factory just to bring the qualitative and originally designed product to our customers.

"Imperial Vin" company furnishes financial assistance to a junior dance band, wrestling sport school, football team, kindergarten, school, handicapped, veterans of war and labor.

The company has accomplished a joint project concerning the production of real sanctified wines with the Orthodox Church. A part of the obtained resources is redirected to the reconstruction of Orthodox temples and popularization of Orthodox moral values.
