The turnout of Moldovan voters with Ukrainian nationality in the second round of the Ukrainian presidential election on February 7 was by about 25% higher compared with the first round, Info-Prim Neo reports.

According to the Ukrainian Embassy in Chisinau, the voters in Moldova could cast their ballots at two polling places, in Chisinau and in Balti. Contacted by phone, employees of the Embassy said the results of the polls in Moldova will be made public by 11.00.

The organizers said no incidents happened at the two polling places set up in Moldova.

With 90.2% of votes counted, Ukraine's pro-Moscow opposition leader Viktor Yanukovych appears to be heading for a narrow victory with 48.52% of the vote. PM Yulia Tymoshenko has closed the gap to 2.7% on her rival.
