Traffic police watch passenger carriers

The police will step up control over the economic entities that provide passenger transportation services, the driving schools and overhaul stations during the road safety drive “Stop Road Accidents – Life is More Important” that will take place between March 15 and 25.

Paulina Iakimovski, of the Traffic Police Division's PR department, has told Info-Prim Neo that besides inspections, there will be held different activities aimed at ensuring road safety, informative seminars for drivers and the national contest for novice traffic agents “Learn Traffic Rules, Avoid Accidents”.

The Traffic Police and road workers will assess the condition of the roads and will formulate proposals how to remedy the situation.

Forty persons have died in road accidents in Moldova this year.
