Moldova’s state debt as of January 1, 2010, amounted to about 14 billion 622.4 million leis, InfoMarket was informed at the Ministry of Finance. As of February 28, the internal state debt amounted to 5 billion 176.6 million leis, exceeding the indicator registered at the beginning of 2010 (5 billion 104.9 million leis) by 71.7 million leis (1.4%).
In particular, the internal state debt fully consist of state securities, among which state securities issued via auctions total 2 billion 513.2 million leis (48.5% of the total amount), converted securities – 2 billion 213.4 million leis (42.8%), state securiti4es placed at subscription – 450 million leis (8.7%). The internal state debt increased in January-February of this year as a result of the growth of the issue of state securities issued via auctions by 71.7 million leis. The obtained funds were used to finance measures stipulated by the Law on 2010-state budget.
