Water maintenance hinders gap’s repair in Nemteni dam
Repair works of the gap in Nemteni dam, Hincesti district, have not begun. This is delayed because of rain in recent days, and water maintenance, BASA-press reports.
Contacted by BASA-press, the Head of Water Household within “Apele Moldovei” Agency, Ion Cuceinic specified that works will start in 2-3 days. In this context, he mentioned that the gap will be covered with land, as for working with concrete will be needed more sources and more time.
Ion Ceceinic stressed that initially just the dig hole will be closed and then strengthen it.
Nemteni dam broke on 07 July. The hole of about 5 feet caused flooding of several villages in Hincesti district, where hundreds of families remained homeless, BASA-press reports.
