Mihai Ghimpu convokes Supreme Security Council

Acting President Mihai Ghimpu summoned a meeting of the Supreme Security Council. It will take place today, September 3, starting at 11am. The agenda of the meeting includes the scandal involving businessman Vlad Plahotniuc, spread by former presidential adviser Sergiu Mocanu, Info-Prim Neo reports.

Two weeks ago, Mihai Ghimpu convoked the heads of the Security and Information Service, the Ministry of the Interior, the Prosecutor General’s Office and of the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime and instructed them to collect information about the Mocanu-Plahotniuc case.

A press briefing of the leaders of the Alliance for European Integration was scheduled also for today.
