Voter turnout at 15.45
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that the turnout of voters at 15.45 was 18%, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The residents of Telenesti continue to be the most active voters. The turnout there was 27.21%. The lowest voter turnout was in Taraclia district (7.58%) and in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (5.06%).
In the municipality of Chisinau, the turnout was 16.71%, while in Balti – 11.57%.
The CEC is collecting the data in electronic format, but it is the information provided on paper than has legal power, said the Commission’s secretary Iurie Ciocan.
40.1% of the voters cast their ballots in the July 29, 2009 elections by 15.45. The turnout in the April 5, 2009 elections by the same hour was 43.05%.
