The OSCE Mission to Moldova will host a roundtable meeting on Thursday that will focus on how politics and the economy can benefit from greater participation of women.
Members of the Parliament and representatives from the government, political parties, civil society organizations and the media will discuss how gender equality contributes to economic development and how it could play a role in overcoming the economic crisis. National and international experts will share best practices on the involvement of women in political and economic life, the enhancement of the role of female leaders and women's associations and discuss how the media can have a greater impact by promoting such issues.
Journalists are invited to the opening of the roundtable meeting, at 9.00 on Thursday, 9 September, in the White Hall of the Codru Hotel, 31 August 1989 Str., 121, Chisinau.
