This is stipulated by the amendments to the law on production and circulation of ethyl alcohol, adopted earlier by the Parliament and promulgated by acting President of Moldova Mihai Ghimpu. The amendments were filed in order to facilitate export of Moldavian wine-cognac products at request of winemaking companies, complaining of non-request of Moldavian certificates of conformity for products imported from Moldova by the partners in Russia, the Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan as they are obliged to certify wine products in their country, and the customs authorities of Moldova require the obligatory presence of this document, issued by the national certification system agencies. After filing the amendment to the law the Moldavian exporters of wine won’t have to present the certificates of conformity on outbound products. At the same time, to increase the responsibility in order to ensure the economic interests of the state and to strengthen the Moldavian reputation as a supplier of qualitative wine products, the exporters will present the declaration of products conformity within their own responsibility to the customs authorities.
