Moldova defeated by Hungary

Moldova’s national football squad was beaten 2-1 by Hungary’s team in a match of the EURO 2012 qualifiers on September 7, Info-Prim Neo reports. It was the first defeat suffered by Moldova in this qualifying round.

The Moldovan footballers performed well in the first half of the game, but Alexandru Suvorov and Igor Tagarlas missed two great chances to score. The opponents played better in the second half and managed to score two goals, through Rudolf Gergely and Vladimir Koman.

The match was played on Ferenc Szusza Stadium in Budapest and was watched by about 8,000 spectators.
