The €90-million grant, which the European Union will provide for Moldova by the European Parliament’s decision just taken, must be used exclusively for stabilizing the macro-financial situation in the republic, Dirk Schuebel, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Moldova, stated to journalists here. In his words, 50 million euros will arrive already this autumn, and the rest – in 2011. The diplomat explained the grant approval procedure in European structures is approaching completion, but there still remains a number of conditions to be met. Dirk Schuebel said a delegation of European Commission experts will come to Chisinau soon to study the situation, after which the grant’s first tranche will be remitted here.
