This was stated by President of the Chambers of Account of Russia Sergey Stepashin at a press conference in Chisinau. He noted that the main problem constitutes in producers’ violating hygienic standards. The President of RF Chamber of Accounts stressed that the parties agreed to ensure more active cooperation of sanitary-veterinary services of Moldova and Russia at the preliminary stage of the import, so that to avoid introduction of restrictions and bans when foods are cleared through customs. He also added that a number and location of customs checkpoints to clear Moldovan products are going to be expanded. The matter of opening the new customs terminal in Bryansk is to be considered shortly, he said. Moldova exported to Russia goods at a sum of $625,5 mln. in 2011, 1,5 times up as compared with 2010. Its foods export, including vegetable, wine and live-stock products made up $234,1 mln. in 2011, that is 37,4% of the total amount of export from Moldova.
