This year, the National Wine Day will take place on the first Saturday and Sunday of October. An amendment to this effect to the Parliament’s decision on commemorative days, holidays and nonworking days in Moldova was approved by the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports.

Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov said the National Wine Day was moved to a new date because Chisinau’s Day this year is celebrated on the second Sunday of October, October 14.

The National Wine Day will be held at the exhibitions center Moldexpo. According to the minister, it will have a special program given the legislative changes by which the wine was declared food product, the reform of the winemaking and winegrowing sector, and the launch of Moldova’s brand under which the national wine products will be sold abroad.

Traditionally, the National Wine Day takes place on the second Saturday and Sunday of October.
