Prices in Transnistria went up 0.44% on average in May, against 0.6% in April. A cumulative inflation has reached 7.07% since the beginning of the year, as compared with projected annual inflation of 13%.
According to the regional ministry of economy, the largest price growth was observed for foodstuffs (up 0.82%). Prices on non-foodstuffs went up0.55%; but on public utilities for the population went down 0.31%.
Altogether, the consumer price index on foodstuffs made 7.66% over the first 5 months; on non-foodstuffs reached 4.51%; and on services – 9.21%.
