“(European Commissioner) Stefan Fule told me that if return to the Parliament everything will be alright. We came back, and what did they do? Nothing. This is what we have in the country now. But we have an explanation for all these: Europeans just don’t like the word “communist”. The statement was made by leader of the Party of Communists Vladimir Voronin during the “Fabrika” show on Publika TV, reports Info-Prim Neo.
Vladimir Voronin said that after the NIT TV channel was closed down, plenty international organizations showed their dissatisfaction with the situation, yet when the PCRM tried to seek for justice through trial, all European supporters disappeared. “Since April 6 and until now there were no trials. Where are the Europeans who talked to me, now?” the PCRM leader said.
Vladimir Voronin added that he is blocked from all sides. The Party received five blows in less than a year: among them – the departure of the Dodon group, the election of the President and preservation of European Integration Alliance’s status as ruling coalition, NIT license revocation, the departure of the Misin group, and the last, but most important, the interdiction of communist symbols. “We came to the show, because our situation is such that we are blocked from all sides”, stated Vladimir Voronin.
The PCRM leader acknowledged that their fraction returned to the Parliament in the attempt to lead to early elections, because the AIE will go much further, and will not stop at the prohibition of communist symbols.
At the end of the show Vladimir Voronin said that he thinks about how to resume political activity after the dog days, and how to act till year’s end.
