School fair kicks off in Chisinau
The traditional school fair will be organized beginning today, August 10, until September 2, on Pushkin Street near the Cathedral Park and in all five districts of the capital, Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release of the City Hall.
Under an ordinance by Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, the fairs will be held in each district of Chisinau in order to provide enough schools supplies and clothes and footwear for children so that pupils are prepared for the new school year.
Earlier in August, the deputy head of the city’s catering and services division Valentina Constandinov told Info-Prim Neo that on August 1,290 companies requested stands in the Cathedral Park. According to the press release, their number has increased so that 300 companies, including 42 local producers, will participate in this year’s school fair in Chisinau.
