The State Hydro-meteorological Service has forecast a maximal air temperature of +35 Celsius degrees for the next seven days.
The first deputy director of the above-mentioned service, Elina Plesca, has said that no essential precipitation is expected on 18 August. At night, the air temperature will fluctuate between +12 and +17 degrees and between +23 and +28 degrees during the day.
No precipitation is forecast for 19-24 August either. Short thunderstorm rains are expected in some regions only 21-22 August.
The night-time air temperature will gradually increase from +12 - +17 degrees to +17 - +22 degrees on 24 August.
During the day on the same period, the air temperature will rise from +24 - +29 degrees to +30 - +35 degrees.
According to the State Hydro-meteorological Service's multiannual data /1886-2011/, on this period, the highest air temperature in Chisinau was +36.7 degrees Celsius on 18 August 1946 and the lowest, 8.4 degrees Celsius, on 18 August 1911.
