Moldavian government created a national commission for liquidation of flood consequences

This commission will assess the damage caused by the flood and will conduct monitoring on the use of appropriated funds for the victims. At the offsite meeting in Nemteni village the Cabinet decided to appropriate 275 thousand leis from special account in order to render assistance to all victims in Hincesti, Briceni and Nisporeni regions, which will receive 500 leis each. The government also fixed a zero rate of VAT for the goods, works and services, intended for liquidation of flood consequences. The same goods will be exempted from customs duties when importing, and the fuel – from excise payment. The Cabinet also allowed paying in advance up to 30% of works and goods cost, intended for rendering assistance to the victims.

Speaking at the briefing after the meeting of the government the Prime Minister – Vladimir Filat noted that the places for temporary habitation of 420 suffered people were already determined. They will be accommodated in the hostels in Hincesti. Some part of victims will be accommodated in the other regional centers of population. 20 families have already gone to the place of their temporary habitation. Vladimir Filat noted that young people suffered from flood will get a burse and will be provided with accommodation in the hostel at the expense of public budget. The Premier emphasized that Romania provided 200 places in resting camps for young people aged 16-26 from suffered regions.
