This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry – Valeriu Cosarciuc. If earlier the branch ministry had planned to harvest 3-3,2 tons of wheat per ha, now it would be harvested about 2,8 tons per ha only. According to Valeriu Cosarciuc, the reaped harvest will be enough to ensure the internal consumption.

There will be enough quantity of wheat necessary for bread baking. Local authorities are not intended to limit the grain export as they promote the free market. The head of the Ministry of Agriculture also noted 60 thousand tons of wheat was kept in the state reserve of Moldova. Wheat was reaped from 40% of areas, barley, maize and peas – from 80-85% of fields. If in the following days isn’t to be heavy raining, harvest will be finished.
