Transnistrian 2011 Budget will be tight and deficient. The conclusion was made by the Transnistrian finance ministry which now finishes preparing main budget parameters for the next year.
Finance minister Irina Molokanova said in an interview at a local TV channel that painstaking labour on specifying main local, republican and consolidated budgets’ parameters is now executed with all departments starting from local administrations.
“In conditions when everyone feels difficulties, we make calculating and transferring standards for local budgets. Naturally, the finance ministry wants less, city heads – more, but we reach consensus every year”, she said.
According to the minister, “expenditure reimbursement by means of consolidated budget revenues is about 34%, and by republican budget – 24%”.
In spite of difficulties, the minister said that “financing of budget social protected articles and state programs, salary payments to persons who are paid from the state budget, pensions and doles will be unconditionally executed”, but she did not name budget-deficit defrayment sources.
