Moldovan parliament sets new rules for using farmlands

The parliament-established new rules for using the farmlands will be published in Moldova's official paper Monitorul Oficial on 15 June. The amendments to Article 36 of the Land Code specify the types of lands considered as farmlands, emphasizing that only agriculture-related facilities can be built on them. Other facilities will be regarded as unauthorized and the owners will be sanctioned. The land owners will have the right to change the status of the farmlands provided that they have the consent of the local authorities.
