Erroneous data have been observed to be posted on the webpage of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), wwww.cec.md.

At about 10:00, the number of eligible voters posted on the body s website exceeded 6 million people, whereas in the morning the figure stood at 2.6 million voters. Apparently, the website reported an erroneous voters turnout too, with the figure standing at less than one per cent at 12:00.

Despite repeated rectification, the e-data still do not meet the realities.

CEC secretary Iurie Ciocan admitted that the website presented erroneous data, but noted that only data in written format have legal value in Moldova, whereas the electronic system was merely being tested.

The CEC said that so far, over 3 per cent of voters had cast their ballots in the referendum on the amendment of the presidential election procedure. The next data in written format will be unveiled at 13:00. The voters turnout should be 33 per cent for the referendum to be validated.
