The recently elected new President of the Republic of Moldova, Nicolae Timofti, will leave on Thursday for his first overseas visit – to Brussels.
According to the presidential press service, the two-day visit program includes meetings with high-ranked European officials – President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, Standing Chairman of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, and EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule, and other.
While in Brussels, President Timofti will meet also with the representatives of the Moldovan diaspora in Belgium.
