The leader of the senior coalition partner Liberal Democratic Party, Prime Minister Vlad Filat, is the most influential Moldovan politician in April 2012, according to a top 50 most influential politicians. Vlad Filat is followed by Parliament Speaker and leader of the Democratic Party, Marian Lupu. Foreign and European Integration Minister Iurie Leanca ranks third, according to the Politicon Centre of Strategic Researches and Political Advice. Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti ranked fifth and went down one position, against the top carried out in March.
