Tiraspol leader congratulates Putin as well
Transnistrian president Yevgeny Shevchuk has sent a telegram of congratulation to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the Day of Russia marked. The telegram said that this holiday symbolizes the triumph of the great, centuries-old Russian history, culture, the unity of all nationalities of the Russian Federation residing not only in Russia but also far outside it. “In our republic, over 160,000 Transnistrians are citizens of the Great Power, and on this remarkable date they are marking the Day of Russia, expressing their solidarity with the Russian people”, wrote Shevchuk. He expressed hope that the multifaceted cooperation between the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic and the Russian Federation will be further strengthening and developing “for the good of our peoples”.
