Moldovan parliament, Belarus National Assembly sign cooperation agreement
Visiting Moldovan Parliament Speaker Marian Lupu, Chairman of the Belarus National Assembly Council, Anatoliy Rubinov and Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Vladimir Andreichenko signed in Minsk today a cooperation agreement between the Moldovan Parliament and the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the parliament's communication and public relations department has said. The agreement is meant to consolidate the mutually-advantageous ties between Moldova and Belarus in political, social, economic and humanitarian fields. The document also envisages that for the consolidation of the inter-parliamentary cooperation, the legislative bodies of the two states will organize fact-collecting visits of different levels for lawmakers, in order to step up labour contacts between the leadership and the members of the friendship group of the Moldovan parliament with Belarus and the working group for cooperation with the Moldovan parliament, of the National Assembly of Belarus. At the same time, they will establish cooperation relations between the leadership and the members of the relevant commissions and committees, will boost the contacts between the parliament's secretariats and will exchange information on the legislative activity, official publications and analytic materials. At the same time, the sides will contribute to the development of the inter-regional cooperation in economic, social, cultural and other fields. 4 The friendship group will deal with the organization and management of cooperation. The agreement enters into force once signed and is concluded for an unlimited period of time.
