A new round of 5+2 format negotiations on Transnistrian conflict settlement has started in Vienna on Thursday. The official Tiraspol hopes for discussing questions of the movement of people, in particular resumption of passenger and freight transportation by automobile transport, a soonest-possible restarting of extra passenger trains via Transnistria, and stabilization of freight railroad communication.
The Transnistrian ministry of foreign affairs wrote in its commentary in this connection that the Transnistrian side is going to discuss questions related to the signature of the agreed-on principles and procedures of holding negotiations in the framework of the Permanent Conference on Political Issues within the Negotiation Process towards a Transnistrian Settlement (the 5+2 format), and a broad spectrum of social and economic problems.
The foreign ministry reminded that the proposals concerning the priority discussing of socio-economic questions were made by the Transnistria side during the previous round of talks and were approved by all consultation participants.
The ministerial commentary also said that the Irish presidency of the OSCE reported that it is planning to inform all consultation participants about the results of the analysis of previous talk accords.
