From Thursday, July 29, citizens will be able to submit an application for change of passport at post offices. The procedure of application consists in personal filling of the questionnaire within the post office requesting changing the passport and pays the additional fee for postal services, according to established tariffs.
Applications and materials for the issuance of passports, received through post offices will be sent to the address of State Information Resource Centre "Registru" by registered letter with notice of "recommended" not later than 5 working days of the application receipt from the applicant.
Consideration of applications and passports issuance will be conducted by the Population Documentation Directorate of SIRC “Register". Passports are handed personally to the owner by presenting the ID card and military service record documentation in public offices under the ID address.
Initially the project will be launched in the north - in Floresti and the South - Cahul.
Also the application for the first passport or to change personal data, and documentation of minors will not be received.
