Dacia, Olimpia and Iskra score victories in season debut

The three clubs that represented Moldova in Europa League qualifiers – Dacia Chisinau, Olimpia Balti and Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa – won their season-opening matches in the National Division on Monday, all by the same score of 1:0, Info-Prim Neo.

Dacia defeated on their own pitch the freshly promoted Comrat-based Gagauzia, with a goal scored by Igor Negrescu.

Andrei Tcaciuc secured the three points for Olimpia with a late goal against Academia UTM Chisinau. The match marked Serghei Stroenco's debut as Academia manager.

Iskra-Stal defeated Dinamo Bender thanks to a goal by Alexandru Popovici in the final fifteen minutes of the game.

The next round of the National Division is scheduled for Sunday, August 1, with the following fixtures: Gagauzia – Zimbru; Milsami – St. Gheorghe; Iskra-Stal – Rapid; FC Tiraspol – Dinamo; Olimpia – Sheriff; Nistru – Academia UTM; and Dacia – Costuleni.
