Broadcasting regulator approves 2013 budget
The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) Wednesday approved its budget for 2013. According to the Council’s chairman Marian Pocaznoi, the budget will be 12 million lei, Info-Prim Neo reports.
7 of the 12 million lei will be used to pay salaries to employees. The number of members of the monitoring commission will be increased from 6 to 19.
Marian Pocaznoi said that under a Government Decision approved this year, the salaries of civil servants will be increased, but the budget for this year is insufficient for the purpose. He also said that the Council decided to submit the draft budget for next year to Parliament beforehand as last year they were accused of doing it with delay.
For 2012, the Government allocated 3.1 million lei to the BCC.
