Children’s summer camps in Chisinau opened

The summer camps for children situated in the municipality of Chisinau started work. About 2,600 children from Chisinau are now resting at the 34 day summer camps hat will work for 15 days, except for Saturday and Sunday. The ticket to a camp costs 730 lei, but the parents pay only 20% of the price, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Chisinau City Hall.

From June 1, students of Chisinau boarding schools have been resting at camps located outside Chisinau – “Alunelul” in Bardar and “Ciresarii” in Vadul lui Voda. The summer camps “Zambetul” and “Luceafarul” started work on June 3, while the rest will be opened in the near future, according to the schedule.

The price of tickets to camps outside the city varies between 1,250 and 1,300 lei for 10 days. The parents pay only 20% of the price. It is anticipated that more than 18,000 children will go to summer camps this year.

The children from families in difficulty and one-parent families and those whose parents took part in the Nistru war, the Afghan war and the Chernobyl cleanup, who want to rest in summer camps, are given priority.

The Chisinau Municipal Council allocated over 21 million lei for organizing the summer vacation of children in the municipality this year.
