Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti today participated in the inauguration of an international conference organized by the Association of Judges in partnership with the Council of Europe and the German Foundation for International Juridical Cooperation, entitled "Contribution of the judges' associations to the implementation of the justice reform and of the European Convention on Human Rights, at national level," the presidential press service has said. The head of state delivered a speech in front of the participants, advocating the enhancement of the juridical framework in line with the European norms and reiterating the authorities' willingness to restore the independence of the national justice and to win back citizens' confidence in the justice act. Timofti also said that Moldova needs an independent justice in order to attract foreign investments. He added that the investment climate depends on the justice capacity to ensure the protection of the investors' ownership rights.
