Prime Minister Vlad Filat today held a meeting with representatives of Hincesti district, the government's communication and press relations department has reported.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of Filat's working visit to Hincesti and brought together mayors and heads of the region's decentralization services. At the meeting, the participants discussed the topical problems of district, analyzed the activity prospects for the next period and outlined new objectives.
The chairman of the Hincesti district, Grigore Cobzac said that the revenues to the district budget have been accumulated in due time. He said that a significant economic growth was recorded in 2011. At the same time, Cobzac said that in the first months of 2012, the region witnessed a slow-down in the economic development. Yet, he expressed hope that the situation would improve in the second half of the year, when several investment projects under way would be completed.
The prime minister said that this visit is not an ordinary one, since each time when he comes to Hincesti, he returns home.
Filat spoke about the social and economic situation in the country and the actions undertaken by the government, in order to overcome the challenges triggered by the regional and global problems.
The prime minister stressed that the infrastructure projects would be fully implemented and that new programmes would be launched. Filat drew the participants' attention on the need to ensure quality of the implemented projects and efficiency in the management of the financial means.
The prime minister said that financing sources for the fulfilment of an objective outlined during his previous visit to Hincesti had already been identified.
"I am talking about the reconstruction of the highway Hincesti-Leuseni, which has two by-pass roads. This will make it possible to improve the road traffic. At the same time, the Road Fund will allot financial means for the restoration of other roads in the town, such as the road segment in Mingir and the Lapusna-Pascani road segment," the prime minister said.
Referring to another important programme regarding the water supply in the region, the prime minister said that the relevant bodies would work out a strategy for a complex approach to this problem. Filat said that a successful partnership had been established in this respect and that the implementation project of the strategy would include Hincesti as well.
Filat urged the representatives of the district and the mayors of its settlements to fully engage in the implementation of these projects and to pay increased attention to the management of the allotted funds.
At the same time, the participants in the meeting discussed issues related to the education system, social insurances and consolidation of farmlands.
