Wages of certain budget-backed institution workers will go up $8 in June
Beginning on June 1, wages of people employed in art and cultural, health, social, scientific and innovation institutions, as well as physical training and sport institutions will be raised, in conformity with a Governmental decision.
Sergiu Sainciu – Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family – said at a Governmental meeting that wages of 1-3 category workers will go up 100 lei (US$8) or 16%, but the increase will be lower for 4-20 category employees.
The command staff of central law enforcement agencies had more luck. Additional wages to them for peculiar working conditions will grow to 80% from 40%. Though, it will occur only on October 1.
Altogether, the wage increasing will apply about 107,000 persons. The state budget provides 105 million lei for this.
