Prime Minister Vlad Filat today handed the State Flag to Moldova's national team that will represent the country at the 30th issue of the Olympic Games due in London, the government's communication and press relations department has reported. The prime minister congratulated the sportspeople who have right to represent Moldova at the 2012 Olym[ic Games. The prime minister noted that the gertuing of qualification for this high sports forum is already a performance. In this context, Vlad Filat appreciated the activity of the entire Olympic team, including the coaches, [hysicians, all those who ensured a good training of the sportspeople. The prime minister specified that will attent the opening of the jubilee issue of the Olympic Games, held in the capital of the United Kingnom, London. The prime minister wished the Moldovan sportspeople much success. He voiced hope that they will give Moldovan supporters occasion to see Moldova's state banner raiased and hear national anthem to honour the victories gained by Moldovan sportsmen. For his part, the head of the naitonal Olympic Committee, Nicolae Juravschi, thanked the Moldovan government for the support given to the team of Olympians, stressing that ten million lei had been earmarked from the state budget for the first time ever for the pre-Olympic and Olym[ic years. At the same time, 4.3 million lei was allocated tp the National Olympic Committee for the preparation and participation of the national Olympic tea, in the 30th issue of the summer Olympic Games and the 14th issue of the Paralympic Games. Nicolae Juravschi expressed hope that the Moldovan sportspeople will achieve outstanding results. He said theMoldovan government ruled to prizes for performances got at the 30th issue of the Olympic Games and the 14th issue of the Paralympic Games from 2012: 100,000 euros (gold medal), 90,000 euros (silver medal), 80,000 euros (bronze medal). A representative of the Moldovan Olympic team in free-style wrestling, Nicolae Ceban, thanked the Moldovan government, National Olympic Committee, all the those who contributed to their training, on behalf of the sportspeople who will represent the Moldova at the London Olympic Games. Ceban gave assurances that, for their part, the Olympians will defend with dignity the honour of the Moldovan flag, and will show that Moldova also has nice traditions and valuable sportspeople. Twenty two sportspeople will represesnt Moldova in seven event at the 30th issue of the London Olympic Games.
