The government today appointed Igor Grosu to serve as deputy education minister.
The decision came after Education Minister Maia Sandu said at the previous cabinet meeting that she will have three deputy ministers instead of two as until recently. Sandu also said that major changes in the education system also require the creation of a School Inspection Service, as well as the strengthening of the ministry's internal audit system.
The Cabinet of Ministers also extended the mandate of Iurie Ursu as deputy director of the National Agency for Regulation of e-Communications and IT. It also relieved Dorin Recean of his duties of deputy information technology and communication minister, as he had been appointed interior minister.
