Spring-spirited exhibition by artist Liliana Platon

Warm colors and spring flowers abound at the exhibition of artist Liliana Platon, hosted by the OSCE Mission in Chisinau. These paintings, mostly floral compositions and landscapes, are the fruit of Liliana’s labor over the last two years, Info-Prim Neo reports.

“The floral compositions are very dear to my spirit. I think this is how paining itself should be: beautiful, charming, conveying an emotional message”, said Liliana Platon. “My paintings are inspired by modern Romanian painting and by impressionism, this is why I think they are so open and warm”, she added.

Liliana Platon is the sister of graphic and ceramic artist Iurie Platon, from whom she says she learned many things. “My brother is a good friend of mine, a good teacher. However we differ in visions and ideas, since my paintings are more feminine”, the artist said.

Attending the launch of the exhibition, painter Andrei Mudrea spoke with enchantment: “each piece of the painting, each object exhales a great amount of love and elaborated work, each nuance is painted with heart and talent”.

Artist Gheorghe Vrabie described Liliana’s paintings as outstanding, adding that they emanate energy and the warmth of the spring. Victoria Rotaciuc, art critic, said that Liliana Platon managed to put on canvas her love of life.

Liliana Platon was born in Rezina. She is a senior lecturer at the Interior Design Department of the Technical University and member of the Union of Plastic Artists of Moldova. Liliana had 7 personal exhibitions and participated in 11 other collective exhibitions.

The exhibition hosted by the OSCE Mission will run through March 30.
