Spring/Summer 2010 Trends at Shopping MallDova Fashion Show

On 19 March Shopping MallDova held a Fashion Show where visitors could admire the new spring/summer 2010 collections by international brands represented at the mall. Famous brands like Mango, Celio, Aridon, Sisley, BSB, Ted Lapidus, Pennyblack, Vis-à-Vis, Promenade and Noble Gallery brought this season’s fashion trends on the catwalk.

The event that took place for the second time represents a new fashion show concept on the Moldovan market. The presented collections are already available at the mall shops.

The main model of each collection was presented on the catwalk by a Moldovan star. Thus, models shared the stage with: Livia Gîrdea, Vitalie Dani, Vera Terentiev, Nata Albot, Sunstroke Project singer Sergiu Yalovitskii, Irina Cojocaru, Pasha Parfeni, Natalia Gordienco, Karizma, Alexandru Manciu and Serghei Abalin.

The Fashion Show’s special guest was the young Moldovan designer Evghenii Hudorojcov who presented his “Diplomat” collection.
Valentina Radcenko was the art director of the event. Models’ hair styles and makeup were provided by the best stylists of Micuşa Stil Salon. The fashion show’s background music was specially prepared for the event by DJ Kirpich. The show hosts were Bogdan Dascăl and Alexandru Marcoci.

Mango is presenting its Spring-Summer 2010 collection named Pure Light, playing with two key elements: pureness and simplicity.  Mango’s new collection combines naturality and simplicity in its silhouettes, while experimenting with contrast and volume. Sisley presents for the 2010 spring-summer season, 3 basic collection themes: „Going East”, „Metropolitan Army” and „Sex Purity”.

The new collection presents popular and fashionable items, such as dungarees, Turkish trousers, light summer dresses, treated knitwear and crushed cotton t-shirts, combined with metal paillettes, embroideries and drapes. Such fabrics as natural and wet silk, mousseline, colored soft denim and suede, are used with warm soil colors and natural stone colors.

The „Metropility Army” theme presents vividly characteristic urban models: dungarees, two-side outerwear models, slim denim and a wide choice of shirts, metal details, unusual pockets, prints and graffiti in asphalt and cobalt colors, as well as the colors of city neon lamps, all express the city style.

With the „Sex Purity” theme, the designers tried to create the image of a modern and sexy girl, proceeding from the elegant style of past years, the image of a girl interested in uncommon fashion and a monochrome play of pastel shades combined with black.  The models are calm, creating a clear and sensual image – the image of a real Sisley girl. It is no more a rebel or an aggressively sexy woman but a stylish girl who values and understands true fashion.

„A Timeless Journey”, „City Shield” and „It Is Only Rock’n’Roll” are the collections creaded by Sisley for men. The main idea for the creation of the collections was the image of a modern young man fond of travelling light-handed. The slightly loose style once again outlines the wandering spirit. Things with history and style, practical and comfortable, shaped with technical details.
