While entire Europe was celebrating Europe Day on May 9th, in Moldova – to keep the celebration going, it was celebrated on the 15th of May.
Everything was right for this celebration: good weather, good location (Great National Assembly Square) and lots of visitors.

On that day, a European Village was set up on the National Assembly Square and all the visitors could walk around and visit each tent that was placed there. In the “village” were approximately 50 tents, each representing a specific country. Each country presented its tourist and business opportunities and also, the representatives of each country attended the guests that were approaching the tents and answered their questions.

Also, some of the tents attracted the visitors with their national cuisine or specific beverages.
Besides the cultural and culinary possibilities, the guests had the chance to attend two language schools and learn some key words in languages like: Czech, German, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Polish, and English.

Also, the guests had the chance to witness or be apart of debates that took place on the National Assembly Square. The EU Ambassador and high representatives of the EU member states' embassies answered questions from the public within the debates on political and economic aspects of the EU-Moldova relations.

For those who didn’t not care for debates, and already took the European culinary trip - they had the chance to listen to traditional music from all European countries. In the evening, all that attended the Europe Day celebration became witnesses of a Latvian-Moldavian concert. Both local band Alternosfera, as well as the the Latvian band Brainstorm, took the stage and made the end of the celebration a perfect one.
